Study Strategy For SSC CHSL Exam In One Month

Government job exams needs systematic and dedicated efforts to qualify the exam. Every year diverse exams are conducted by SSC such as SSC CGL, CHSL, etc. SSC CHSL is considered to be the easy one to qualify because it the difficulty level is from easy to moderate. 

Hence it is easy to prepare for SSC CHSL EXAM in one month but with systematic study plan. Generally, candidates who start late for their studies for the exam need a study strategy which can assist them complete their syllabus in a less time. There could be number of reasons for starting late but even then one can prepare with the systematic study strategy. Let us discuss subject-wise strategy to qualify SSC CHSL EXAM. 

Let Us Discuss Section-Wise Study Strategy For SSC CHSL TIER 1 Exam. 

1. Quantitative Ability Section  

This section encompass 25 questions comprising of 11-12 questions from Arithmetic, 7-8 questions from Geometry & Trigonometry and the remaining 3-4 questions will be from Algebra. In the first week, one can start with Arithmetic which has topics like Ratio, Percentage, Averages, Time Speed Distance, Time and Work, Profit & Loss, Interest. In the second week, one can prepare Geometry and Trigonometry. In the third week, one should prepare Algebra (Equations), along with available topics like Progressions and Simplification. In the fourth week, it is worthwhile to revise all the topics you have studied so far with the help of topic tests and mock tests. 

2. English Language Section: 

The proficiency in English Language Section require candidate to build up the habit of reading English Newspapers, magazines, books etc. It will keep them associated with topics of varied subjects. It will augment your word power and improve your grammatical skills. This section comprises of cloze test, sentence improvement, antonyms synonyms; fill in the blanks and other similar topics. In the first week, you must methodically revise all the grammar rules which include tenses, voice, articles, prepositions, subject-verb agreement and punctuation. In the second week, you should practice and understand active passive voice, direct indirect speech, cloze test, error spotting, sentence improvement and grammar-based fill in the blanks. In the third week, enhance your vocabulary to attempt questions on Antonym Synonyms, Idioms, Phrases, and Spellings etc. In the last week, take as many topic tests and mock tests you can take to know your learning and understanding. It will alleviate your tension as you will perform better than what you were before the preparation. 

3. Reasoning Ability Section 

To attempt questions of Reasoning Ability section, one have to practice hard to achieve excellence. In first week, candidates be able to prepare Analogies (both numerical and verbal), Syllogisms, coding decoding. In the second week, let us do the concepts based on Odd one out, Alphabetical & Numerical Series, Missing terms. In the third week, it is advisable to aim on the concepts like Blood Relations, Direction sense, Arrangements. In the fourth week, the students should sincerely endeavour as much as mock tests to polish their knowledge and understanding.

4. General Awareness Section 

This section is principally based on static General Knowledge and Current Affairs. It is extremely scoring section where one can easily attempt at least twenty questions in five minutes. In the first week, prepare topics like Science, Indian Polity, and Sports. In the second week, learn topics like Geography, Economics, Books and authors. In the third week, take up topics like History, Computer Awareness while prepare the remaining topics and revise the entire syllabus in the fourth week. There is no need for any mock test or topic test in this case as you need to revise the static GK methodically and current affairs till the end.
