topics as much as possible from that book. Once you have covered the topics
then revise the same as many times as possible.
7. Avoid making wild guesses as you will end up losing marks
because SSC follows negative marking for every wrong answer marked by the
aspirants. Practice mock tests with this attitude or else you will waste your
efforts.
8. Practice is the key to success therefore practice maximum
to score high. Read and revise the topics you have noted in your register. Take
topic test immediately after completing the topic to examine your knowledge and
learning.
9. Develop the habit of reading daily newspapers as it will
help you keep up with the important events, news and happenings going around
you. The questions based on Current Affairs questions can play an important
role in your final selection.
In CGL exam, General Knowledge section is very significant for candidates as it is most scoring section. On flip side, candidates also lose marks in this section for wrong answering because of negative marking. So, it is important to make calculated guesses but do not attempt questions on guess-work as attempts don’t fetch marks but accuracy does. As a result, prepare this section as per your strategies explained above. Do keep in mind that you cannot depend on this section for marks, so prepare it well. All the best!!
