What Is The Selection Process Of RRB NTPC Exam?

 RRB NTPC 2020 is going to be conducted in the month of December 2020 and most of the aspirants who have filled in the application for any of the posts notified under it. Every year candidates apply for any of the vacancies under RRB NTPC notifications. Out of millions some apply for the first time for any of the competitive exams and they need proper guidance to appear in it for the first time. RRB NTPC 2020 Recruitment Process will be done in five steps these are: 

  • First Stage of CBT
  • Second Stage of CBT
  • Typing Test (Skill Test) / Aptitude Test
  • Document Verification
  • Medical Examination

1. First Stage of CBT

The first stage CBT is common for all the posts notified under RRB NTPC 2020 notification. It will be of 90 minutes duration and comprises of three sections these are General Awareness, Mathematics and General Intelligence and Reasoning. The first Stage CBT is for screening. The marks of the first stage will determine the selection of candidates for the second stage CBT.

2. Second Stage of CBT

The number of candidates for the second stage of CBT is shortlisted 20 times the number of vacancies based on the merit of first stage. This stage consists of three sections these are General Questions Awareness, Mathematics and General Intelligence and Reasoning. The duration of the test is 90 minutes. The candidates who will qualify the second stage CBT are called for skill test depending on the posts they have applied for.

3. Skill Test

Computer-Based Aptitude Test is held for Station Master and Traffic Assistant where as Typing Skill Test is conducted for Junior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist and Senior Time Keeper). The number of candidates short –listed for Skill Tests such as Computer based Aptitude Test and Typing Skill Test is about 8 times the number of vacancies under second stage CBT.

4. Document Verification

Candidates qualify the second stage CBT which is based on the performance in Computer Based Aptitude Test and Typing Skill Test (as applicable) candidates equal to the number of vacancies are called for Document Verification as per their merit. Appointment of selected candidates is subjected to their passing required Medical Fitness Test.

5. Medical examination

The appointment of selected candidates depends upon their passing in the requisite medical examination. Candidates will be examined on the basis of their physical fitness required for the post. Candidates must note that RRBs only advocate the names of selected candidates and appointment is offered by the relevant RRBs.
